about
Hi there! I am an artist based in the Bay Area, CA. I have a fondness for pottery, focusing on wheel throwing and hand building. I am inspired by nature's colors, and my travels. Although I've primarily taught myself, I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Quyle Kilns in Murphys, CA where I began my pottery journey in 2020.
Art has been a lifelong passion of mine, rooted in childhood, where I found it to be both deeply fulfilling and a source of solace during life's challenges, a dreamy yet purposeful escape. In addition to being an artist, I am a counselor, mental health therapist, and educator. I am deeply committed to advocating for the destigmatization of mental healthcare, particularly for underserved populations and children of immigrants, a cause that holds great personal significance for me.
In both my professional and personal life, art serves as an essential tool for self-care and healing. When supporting the mental health of children, I have found art to be as powerful a resource for them as it has been for me. I believe art takes many forms, including play, which I view as one of our greatest strengths. My goal is to help unlock this innate ability to create and play, fostering growth and resilience. In the Bay Area, where the focus on STEM often overshadows the arts, I strive to break down barriers by encouraging others to explore their own artistic expressions. Thank you for taking the time to explore; I truly appreciate your visit!
